This Chinatown institution’s long, fluorescent-lit shelves are crammed with everything you’d need to outfit your first apartment or a restaurant. Start with the plastic storage tubs out front ($1.69–$15) and make your way in to the massive dusty array of industrial steel pots ($9 and up). An hour or two later, and you’ll have browsed through baskets and Buddha statuary, cutlery and cutting boards. Brands range from the big-name to the basic, with a variety of labels legible only to those who read Mandarin. Choice items: a 14-cup Cuisinart coffee maker ($90) and Henckels knife block ($63).
