Pepper Mill

Cherrywood shelving and nougat-toned granite floors exude elegance here. Gracious owner Albert Sommer offers a lifetime of expertise from his family’s restaurant-supply business in Paris. The more you look, the more you discover: an Emile Henry salt pig ($40), a Rowenta professional ironing board ($150). The full Cuisinart small appliance line is featured, alongside machines from Breville, Krups and Weber. A dozen Bialetti stovetop espresso makers range from one to 18 cups ($20–$100). Knives and gadgets abound, such as the Kuhn Rikon hand-held mandolin ($35, perfect for shaving truffles) and, of course, hundreds of pepper mills.
