A cool $100,000 snags your house a full professional kitchen from this food-industry stalwart, including a 24-by-24-inch Boos butcher block ($875), a walk-in fridge and a Garland range. Founded in 1952 as a restaurant supplier and knife-sharpening service, Nella’s retail branch opened in 2004, offering professional equipment alongside domestic goodies. The main floor holds knives, small wares (spoons, ladles, grat---ers), cookware and appliances. Machines range from a butcher’s band saw to a Barbie-pink KitchenAid mixer ($455). The Humvee of outdoor grills, the Crown Verity MCB-60 ($3,500) can spit-roast a whole pig. The upstairs houses a culinary school as well as commercial china and crystal rooms. Seriously professional Sika chef’s clogs ($127) come in black only. Exposed ducts, ceramic tiles and stainless steel appointments give this shop an industrial feel, but friendly staff are happy to serve pros and public alike.
