Possibly the most stylish fabric shop in the Fashion District, MacFab lures designers and students with its low-priced muslin ($3 per yard) and deals on deluxe fabrics: silks start at $22 per yard, MacSuede in various weights sells for $25 per yard. There’s plenty of funky material: a rainbow of coloured vinyl begins at $17 per yard; a huge selection of tailoring supplies includes a wall of zippers and buttons from 20 cents each; faux fur can be found for as low as $40; a yard of chocolate, vanilla or black faux mink goes for $90.
