In business for 35-plus years, this Corso Italia landmark still carries tea towels embroidered with “Saluti dal Canada” and the sort of housedresses worn by Sophia Loren in the ’60s. It also stocks plenty of discounted stuff: sheet sets range from $10 to $139 (1,000 thread count); 12-person tablecloths start at $10; wool blankets from $99. From the mother country come ruffled bedspreads and underwear (men’s sleeveless undershirt, $6). His-and-hers bathrobe sets (two robes and six towels, from $99) make excellent gifts.
