With two and a half acres of space and almost every flower, grass, herb, vegetable, tree and shrub suited to Toronto’s climate on offer, Joe Gentile’s nursery is the only full-service gardening centre downtown and boasts the largest selection of containers in the city. This year, cutting-edge gardeners will hunt out new coneflowers (much like a prettier black-eyed Susan) in Green Envy and Mac ’n’ Cheese. Pricey outdoor furniture from Barlow Tyrie and Brown Jordan satisfies Rosedale’s taste. The flower shop provides custom-designed cut and silk arrangements.
