Formerly home to an LCBO store, the sweeping space is now a wonderland of comely contemporary furnishings—though classic and fashionable sofas, dining and occasional chairs and benches (from the Bright Chair Company) are a mainstay. The selection of imported items includes sculptural sconces from London, and an exotic collection of covered furniture from Paris, as well as Van Wing chairs from New York. Pieces from Oly (a Berkeley, California, company) are the items du jour: fir benches, cast resin seashells, and enough grand mirrors (some framed with mother-of-pearl) to occupy Narcissus for a lifetime. South Hill Home also carries Penta lights (exclusive in Toronto).
