Off the beaten track, this 30-year-old family-run business focuses on moderately priced, solidly built furniture. A 10,000-square-foot store-within-a-store offers contemporary pieces—glass tables, leather couches—but most of the inventory is traditional. From ultra-elaborate dining suites worthy of the Sun King (seven-piece Montecristo, $4,499) to the sleek Screenwriter desk ($799), there’s a style for every taste. Three-seat sofas go for $1,099 to $3,999 in fabric (leather $1,599–$4,999); queen-size beds are $899 to $3,999. The store also carries about 700 different rugs in wool (five-by-eight-foot, $799), sisal and other fabrics.
