This wholesale company offers plenty in the way of hard furniture and accessories, but who’s kidding who? It’s all about the sofas. Barrymore has been making couches since 1919, and the construction is top-notch: solid hardwood frames with dowelled and screwed joints; an eight-way spring coiling system for added durability; and a multitude of seating options, from ultra-soft down and feather to firmer choices. Sofas can be customized—there are 5,000 fabric options—with various arm and leg styles. In the era of condomania, most models come in a mini size. Designs are mostly traditional, but there’s also space for contemporary pieces.
