Known for inspiring hyperventilating furniture lust, modern home empire Design Within Reach has finally made it north of the border. The 4,700-square-foot store—complete with a mural of Viljo Revell’s city hall, a nod to Toronto’s modernist heritage—stocks affordable classic shelter-mag staples, including Eames rockers and Saarinen tables. DWR hits, like the vanishing Sapien bookcase ($220–$330), will share space with finds from such hot young designers as Marcel Wanders and Sean Dix.
