The Old and New Worlds come together at Macklem’s: it’s the only company in Canada that refurbishes antique English prams, but the venerable shop also sells new strollers by Maclaren, Upperbaby and Zooper. Prices can be steep, ranging from $120 to $3,500 (the latter for the luxe Silver Cross). There’s also a selection of cribs (from $399), beds, dressers, change tables and armoires from Quebec manufacturers Dutailier, Morigeau-Lépine and AP Industries. For teens, there are computer desks (from $599).
