With their dulcet Italian tones, turtleneck sweaters and uncluttered desks, the staff here resemble bank tellers in some impossibly stylish universe. The sleek showroom has a luxurious Brazil nut–hued floor, a futuristic-chic Boffi kitchen, and furniture as art. But this is art you can comfortably lounge on. And it’s easy to fantasize: price tags are nowhere to be seen. In reality, it costs $20,000 for a wide, flat sectional combo from Flexform; $18,000 for a 14-foot closet with a six-foot sliding door in natural oak and silver-etched glass, with sensored lighting by Molteni & C; and $5,000-plus for one of Cassina’s streamlined beds. The dreamiest room in this swanky bachelor pad is the upstairs bathroom display, which features Boffi’s sculptural tubs and sinks.
