Some of the furniture in this subcontinental specialty shop is genuinely old (as evidenced by Anglo-Indian cabinets in clean-lined teak for $800 to $1,400), while some of it artfully combines, say, old doors and other architectural elements with new woods. All of the furniture is solid wood, mostly teak, acacia or shisham (a type of rosewood), and while some of it is decorated—in the case of one sideboard, with both Scottish thistles and Indian gods ($1,350)—much of it is unembellished and would easily suit any condo. Bright silk pillows ($40–$75) and lovely table runners ($40–$125) complement the rich, dark woods.
