Part of a budding decor empire, this Leslieville boutique is owned by design duo Stephan and Mario Howard, and has recently been expanded with an interior decorating business and exclusive furniture lines. At Flik, the focus is on modern country with French influences; the look is rough around the edges, with plenty of reclaimed pieces (from farmhouses and other architectural salvage). Think butcher’s block and harvest tables in solid wood, and rustic accent pieces in distressed leather and mottled finishes. There’s even a signature milk paint line, with 29 custom colours produced by Toronto-based Homestead House Paint Company.
