This modern Distillery District showroom walks the line between retail store and interior design firm. Eschewing sales clerks, the company employs architects and designers to work directly with clients to customize closets, bathrooms (from Altamarea) and kitchens. The star of the show is Toronto-exclusive Valcucine—these high-end Italian-import kitchens offer an endless array of modules. Finishes range from natural oil to dark oak, cherry and teak; complete kitchens in etched and tempered glass are now available. For a sleeker, mid-century modern aesthetic, there are gloss and matte lacquers in 40 different colours, from vivid reds and blues to the more understated soft white and dove grey. Turnaround time from design to installation is approximately 14 weeks.
