This narrow shop, specializing in 19th-century Canadiana, is jam-packed with solid wood pieces that have never known the taint of particleboard: a bird’s-eye maple chest ($1,595), a Québécois wooden cradle ($575), an ash cupboard from 1880 ($995). Walls are covered with window frame mirrors and faded prints of royalty; shelves are laden with emblems of an earlier time (oil lamps, salt cellars, blanket boxes). Some items are expensive and unique, such as a Georgian pedestal clock ($550), but others are just plain funky—antique toy soldiers with the heft of real lead ($20–$45 each).
