Brian Clish, owner of this tiny shop on West Queen West, frequents estate sales throughout the Eastern Seaboard (New York state, Massachusetts, New Jersey). The fruits of his labour—antique furniture, artwork and lighting from France, Italy and the U.S.—make for rich pickings. A neo-classical credenza with brass accents originally from Kittinger Furniture Company ($1,250) and a clamshell-shaped console table by André Groult ($2,500) await shoppers. Tiny consoles and mahogany sideboards sit alongside a rosewood side table, all of them surrounded by raffia walls adorned with Canadian and American paintings. A rare late-18th-century painted and gilded Swedish overmantel mirror is $7,900. Clish also has an eye for lighting, most of it early 20th century. On one visit, a gilded 1920s bronze palm frond chandelier was $7,000.
