The bouquets at San Remo are always fashionable. Owner Jim Edwards studied florals and event planning, and is up on current trends. For 2008, he favours clean, simple designs that pop. When it comes to European hand bouquets, Edwards puts his own spin on traditional designs. He uses orchids, locally grown flowers and tropical leaves, such as saga palm and Israeli wax flower. Colours are often bold and paired to dramatic effect: white, chartreuse, burnt orange. Small cocktail arrangements start at $35, large arrangements from $100; delivery from $10.
