Bloom the Flower Company

Event planner–cum–floral designer Paul Girling set out to bring inspiring design to the already design-savvy residents of Rosedale. The shop is famous for its jaw-dropping window arrangements, such as tree branches with hundreds of dangling ruby crystals for Valentine’s Day or architectural arrangements featuring unconventional elements like green roses, proteas, kiwi branches or asparagus. Wide-eyed walk-ins are commonplace. And not surprisingly, when one local event-planning team needed flawless arrangements for a “very picky client,” they went to Bloom; the client turned out to be Fergie (the Duchess of York, not the pop princess), who loved the flowers, saying they smelled divine. Bouquets from $40; small arrangements from $45; large arrangements $100–$300; delivery $13.
