Architectural salvage is all the rage, so it was only a matter of time before this neighbourhood got its own version of the Door Store. In fact, owner Roy Clifford used to work at the Castlefield legend. And though the Salvage Shop sells sconces, mailboxes and lighting, Clifford specializes in all things portal. Elaborate Victorian doors ($150–$650) take pride of place, along with interesting door knockers and handles. Stained glass windows ($125–$875) are another strength. Clifford avoids installation jobs, but will refurbish old pieces, including doors ($25 per job, hardware only) and chandeliers.
