A trove of household items and collectibles occupies the space above the shop’s delightful coach house tea room. Mostly Asian and North African imports, the pretty tea accessories and giftware have been selected with as much care as the store’s signature handcrafted single-estate teas. There are ornate cast iron teapots from Japan, in natural black, pale blue and rose (from $48), along with ceramic and glass examples. Jewel-toned silk cushions (from $24) come in a variety of designs. Socially conscious shoppers will appreciate vibrant silk scarves made by Joom Noon, an organization that employs and supports victims of Cambodia’s civil war. Also look for red and black lacquerware from Japan and a growing line of hemp-and-silk table runners and cushions.
