Opened as a tribute to her late daughter, Boj, Lucy Kokalov’s delightful jumble of a store defies categorization—her philosophy in home decor as with the store’s wares, is that contrast and variety keep things interesting. An oversize art deco screen (circa 1930) in black lacquer with a gold relief of the New York skyline can be had for $3,800, but most items are more portable: a blow-up of one of Lucy’s extensive collection of antique postcards (say, a framed travel photo of turn-of-the-century Trouville) can be had for $350 to $695.
