Bergo

This 5,000-square-foot glass-fronted temple to design will make shelter-mag junkies salivate. It specializes in accessories for the home and jewellery for the body, as well as a small selection of furniture from (among others) Toronto’s Brothers Dressler. Champions of the design world dot the space, with choice offerings from Stelton and Georg Jensen. Alessi is represented, but so are lesser-known names, such as Denmark’s Knud Holscher, whose LightArch candle holder features interlocking stainless steel candlesticks, so arrangements can be customized ($220 for set of three; $77 per extra candlestick). Baubles for the wrist—watches from Issey Miyake, Starck and Nooka—join those for the ears and neck, with insouciant aluminum and copper alloy works from Germany’s Step by Step, and braided stainless steel from Barbara Silverstein.
