For curated vintage at Kensington prices, head west to Crispian Underwood’s tiny Roncesvalles shop. Loved by bargain hunters, hipsters and stylists alike, the racks here are bursting with treasures: frilly silk blouses, prim secretary-style frocks, and posh power suits, some bearing designer labels, all at to-die-for prices. Underwood makes a point of staying on top of current fashion trends and only carries pieces that would actually work in a modern-day wardrobe: a navy pinstripe Jaeger suit ($50), a sailor-style Byblos jacket ($30), a sequined V-neck top ($24). Finish off your look with a pair of sexy pumps (from $26) and a piece of quirky costume jewellery ($16–$30). Hats go for $18 to $28.
