Eight times a year the warehouse doors are thrown open for bargain pricing on a hodge-podge of décor accents and giftware at this Richmond Hill outlet. Choices range from kitsch—pewter dragon figurines from The Tudor Mint—to classic—silver-rimmed white china from Royal Worcester. Items are arranged in best garage sale fashion with glass vases tucked behind fragrant candles, so be prepared to spend some time wandering up and down the two narrow aisles. Stock is drawn from discontinued lines, seconds and overstocks and changes constantly and from sale to sale; pre-Christmas choices can range from carol-themed serving dishes to blown glass tree ornaments, while spring might find Easter and pastel accented items. Prices are at least 50 percent off regular retail, with some deeply discounted door crasher items marked down 90 percent. Savvy shoppers know to print the coupon off the Vendables website for an additional 20 percent savings on most items.
