Be warned: this Parkdale icon becomes manic on Saturdays, as designing women battle through miles of high-end fabrics (including Ralph Lauren and other brand names) at no-name prices (from $7 per yard). Decadent silk begins at $16 per yard, and an array of mill-end rolls are priced as low as $7 per yard. Spools of thread start at four for $1. Basic polyester pillows start at $2.75, climbing to $49 for goose down. Knowledgeable staff can tell you anything you ever wanted to know about sewing.
