RONA

  • 110 West Toronto St. (at Keele); plus three other locations. View on map »
  • 416-766-9393
One difference between this Quebec-based chain and rival Home Depot is scale: RONA outlets don’t look like airplane hangars. For those of an ambitious bent—that is, would-be home renovators—RONA’s “experts” will school you in the basics and explain the pros and cons of various materials, like kitchen cabinets made of melamine (affordable, sure, but difficult to repair). In addition to stocking all the major brands, RONA produces its own line of quality products—everything from a push broom ($14) to a pedestal sink ($70) to a five-light chandelier ($131).
Hours:
M–F 7–10, Sa 7–8, Su 8–7.
