The Swedish behemoth is still the last word in practical, funky furniture at knock-down prices. At $329–$649, the Klippan loveseat lets you lounge for less. The raised Tromsö loft bed frame is just the ticket for space-starved condo dwellers ($199). The innovative Kvartal curtain rail, which lets you layer narrow panels for a sophisticated, Asian-inspired look, could also work as a room divider (triple-rail combination $28, panels sold separately). Work IKEA, the store’s office section, offers equally pragmatic designs. Customize your workstation with the Galant desk series, which features height-adjustable legs, and a variety of finishes and desktop styles. (Mix and match the pieces; prices range from $179 to $449.) For $139, the Bonny swivel chair offers an adjustable backrest. For a complete office design, book a free appointment with a staff designer.
