Choice Leather Furniture

Salesman Stan Cho is an affable guy, but when it comes to quality leather furniture, he’s an unapologetic stickler. “We don’t sell any of what I call ‘McDonald’s-type’ leather. You know, where they say ‘100-per-cent beef,’ and you wonder, Yeah, but what part of the cow?” What Cho is talking about, is split leather. Made of the flimsiest part of cowhide, split leather tends to wear out easily. In Choice Leather’s roughly 17,000-square-foot showroom, you’ll only find full- or top-grain leather products, all locally made using Italian leather in Etobicoke or Mississauga to guarantee its excellence. Whether it’s a club chair or a Roche Bobois-style modular sofa, the store typically charges half of what its competitors do. In recent years, Choice has seen an uptick in custom orders, largely to accommodate space-constrained condo owners.
