After 21 years in business, this one-room women’s shoe store is still going strong. The aesthetic is wearable fashion, so options tend to be more staid than those you’d find in a Bloor Street boutique. And some choices scream sensible. But the brands are still Holt’s-worthy: there are several pairs from Stuart, Donald J Pliner, Aquatalia by Marvin K., Ecco and Geox. New this year is Arche, a comfort line from France and waterproof Phjar shearling winter boots. Sizes generally include narrow and wide widths; owners Howard and Risa Share can point out the best shoes for orthotics. Most pairs cost between $150 and $300, but there are discounts of between 40 to 80 per cent in the clearance corner and at the biannual sales.
