The stain-repellant, wrinkle-resistant khakis ($55) are a bit grumpy-old-man and baseball tees starting at $15 are a bit boring, but you don’t shop here for the fashion. From the neon-coloured hard hats ($10–$30) to the heavy-duty rain gear ($45 for a PVC jacket with safety stripes), these clothes are built for comfort, quality and economy. Work socks come in many durable blends; steel toed Dakotas at $180 feature a footbed to massage the feet. Jeans start at $20, all-Egyptian cotton Ts at $15. Womenswear includes such wardrobe basics as high-cut briefs (five pairs for $17, five-pocket stretch jeans ($50) and lightweight hoodies in grey, black, white and navy ($35). Brand names include Lee and Levi’s in jeans (from $65 for button-fly 501s), and Dr. Martens, Timberland and Kodiak in footwear.
Hours:
