A visit to Chocky’s is a pre-camp ritual. In anticipation of the weeks away, kids and parents work through rows of bargain underwear, socks and Ts. On a recent visit, tanks went for $6, while kids’ T-shirts in a rainbow of colours were $6 each (pack of four, $20). Men’s and women’s flannel pants are priced from $13; Bella Ts for women come in a wide variety of colours for $13 each. Keep warm with toques, gloves and scarves, and long underwear by Elita Warmwear and Sportsman by Stanfield. Mattress protectors and pillow-tops are popular picks among the university crowd.
