Parkshore Golf Clubstar

You’ll get over the unappealing industrial park setting of Parkshore as soon as you stare down the first hole—a 510-yard par five, with two ball-swallowing marshes between you and the green. The introduction delivers on the course’s credo: the longest, toughest nine-hole course in Ontario. (In case there was any doubt, they lengthened four holes in 2007 with the addition of black tees.) It’s game on thereafter, with narrow marshes that criss-cross fairways demanding strategic play, especially from shorter hitters (water comes into play on seven holes). Regulars say hole six, with water to the left and right, is the most intimidating. It’s a true par four, along with hole five. A birdie’s in the cards for advanced golfers on the par five 626-yard fourth hole. The course is perfect for a stimulating after-work quickie and is also junior golfer–friendly.
