Millcroft Golf Clubstarstarstar

For golfers who prefer to feel as if they’re getting back to nature, Millcroft will be distinctly claustrophobic. The course has been practically swallowed whole by a Burlington subdivision. Each hole is now surrounded with homes, and more are being built in what empty space remains. The course itself is quite short (less than 6,000 yards from the back tees), but it’s still challenging, with water in play on 13 holes and the threat of ending up out of bounds on nearly every one. The course is maintained at a fairly high level, especially the greens, and design aficionados will appreciate the early work of Tom McBroom, with his flair for well-bunkered greens.
