Amid the monotony of an uninspired design, the old White and Red nines each have two or three good holes. The new Blue nine stays true to that tradition. Whereas the other two save their best for last, the Blue opens with its most interesting holes. The first tee box seems to be pointed at a marshy creek and a hill covered in weeds. Either go for the green (unwise, but fun) or play well left with a lofted club and leave yourself a short approach. The second and third holes are challenging par threes that criss-cross the wide marsh. Four through nine take you back and forth across a near-barren heath with a creek just wide enough to be annoying. A good, well-conditioned course for beginners.

27 holes. Red: nine holes, 3,185 yards, par 36. Blue: nine holes, 3,141 yards, par 35. White: nine holes, 3,040 yards, par 36
