Hornby Glenstarstar

On this charming course nestled north of the 401, silos, barns and rolling hills provide the backdrop for a nice walk in the country. Designed by Robert Moote, Hornby Glen (formerly Hornby Tower) was established in 1964. It has since been updated to a more challenging course, thanks to the addition of more trees and 12 fairway traps. For low handicappers, birdie and eagle chances abound, as most par fives are reachable in two. Those feeling risky on number 17 can cut the dogleg in half by flying the trees, making the 402-yard par four even shorter. Watch out for the dried-up creek bed snaking along holes one, two, 10, 14 and 17. It’s not marked on the scorecard, and you may be surprised when this hungry hazard eats up your drive. The course is well maintained, with renovated ponds, expanded tee areas and trimmed fairways.

18 holes, 6,655 yards, par 72
