Erin Heights Golf and Country Clubstarstarstar

A pleasant change awaits long-time players at Erin Heights. The first hole, a long, 270-yard pop-up of a par four, has been stretched so that it now plays to what used to be the second green. This creates a wonderful par four, nearly 400 yards, requiring a good tee shot and a stiff low iron downhill to a tiny green. Although offering just nine holes, the hill on which the course is built guarantees a decent elevation change (usually 50 to 70 feet) on every hole. The fourth and fifth—back-to-back par fives—underscore the impact: one slopes up, one down. You’ll wonder how you didn’t manage to birdie either one, given that the longest of the two is just 470 yards. The greens are always in top-notch condition—in fact, one would be hard pressed to find better greens for the money. A few new bunkers have also popped up as part of the redesign.
