Camisle Golf Coursestarstar

Here’s a facility that knows its niche: cheap, playable golf for those who don’t think it a sin to hit a five-iron while wearing Levi’s. There are 27 holes in total; most are fairly pedestrian, with few bunkers and little rough to worry about, although water is a sporadic factor. The Land of Legend layout is presumptuously named, but it does boast a stretch that, if well navigated, would leave even the strongest players feeling puffed up about themselves: the 575-yard, par five eighth is more robust than anything else on the property, and is followed by the pretty par four 10th. The sequence is punctuated by the 11th, a par three that requires a well-hit mid-iron to reach what is virtually an island green. The nine-hole layout, Camisle, features greens that are faster—but still rather slow.
