David Moote, head of one of Canada’s pre-eminent golf course design firms, was hired to enhance what is already a hidden gem. Pheasants roaming the course may startle you, but the real surprise occurs at the three-hole stretch of 11, 12 and 13. From the 11th green, you suddenly get a panoramic view of the surrounding farmland and dense forest. The 12th is a breathtaking par three, where you hit from an elevated tee to a fast, sloping green surrounded by traps. The 13th is a tough, short par 4; accuracy off the tee is key on this dogleg left, with a creek rambling along the left edge of the undulating fairway, which climbs to an elevated green protected by trees. Renovations to a couple of holes in fall 2007 made what is already a great course even better. Also added was a brand new driving range, located closer to the clubhouse, with target greens and all grass tee decks. The 15th hole is now a longer par four, with several ponds coming into play; the 18th is a completely new finishing hole, at 376 yards from the tips, with a slight dogleg left to a sloped green protected by traps.

18 holes, 6,931 yards, par 72
