Good news to report from Nobleton Lakes. In July 2002, the club introduced nine new holes by Carrick Design. Four of them have been integrated into The Lakes, Rene Muylaert’s original back nine, while the other five have been slotted into a new loop known as The View. Located at the south end of the property, bending through forest and around the edge of a major wetland, the holes already seem as if they’ve been around for a decade. Holes follow the lay of the land, with both subtle tweaks and major-league bunkering. Since 2004, the course has been playing tougher, with the addition of 250 mature trees to the new fairways and fields of thigh-high fescue in the rough. Nobleton Lakes’ veterans will be happy that the club’s signature hole, the 184-yard, par three island green, is still intact and is now the first hole of The View.

27 holes. The View: nine holes, 3,513 yards, par 36. The Lakes: nine holes, 3,425 yards, par 36. The Woods: nine holes, 3,416 yards, par 36
