Located about 50 minutes northeast of downtown Toronto, the Ron Garl–designed course has positioned itself as an all-inclusive, all-day experience, with green fees that cover everything from pro tips to meals. So it’s not surprising that it has become a favourite of the corporate crowd. Adding to its allure are the 12 homage holes—inspired by such famous courses as Augusta, Pine Valley and Troon—some of which work brilliantly. The fourth, a tribute to the 13th at Augusta, is a classic, sweeping par five that doglegs around the local creek. On the back loop, the 17th is a faithful recreation of the infamous island green at TPC Sawgrass in Florida. The St. Andrews–inspired holes on the back nine are less successful: this is not links-land Scotland. The strongest stretch on the course is arguably five to eight, all original holes that run along the high ground and slope toward the water and ravine.

18 holes, 7,025 yards, par 72
