Situated off a rural road in the Kawarthas, this nine-holer is reasonably priced—and very flexible. Should you choose to, you can play 18 holes: golfers simply go around the course twice, playing holes from two sets of tees, each located in vastly different positions. A tip: keep your ball to the left, since a lot of the trouble spots are found on the holes’ right-hand sides. Postage stamp–size greens are fast and undulating, making this course more challenging than it first appears. The 200-yard, par three third is a prime example: the two-tier green’s slope is extreme, and the front pin placement means it can become a big number on the scorecard.
