On most days, this popular spot yields foursomes as far as the eye can see, but a round here isn’t too time-consuming. The pedestrian nature of the layout and a lack of real trouble ensure a decent pace. It’s a good course for scoring, although the length can be misleading, as a few greens verge on unfair. The par five eighth is one example: anything right of the green is dead. Course knowledge is key, and making friends with a regular is about your only chance on number 10. If he suggests you aim left, aim left. Way left. Most decent drives, downhill and a mere 370 yards, will leave no more than a wedge in. The green seems to slope left to right from the fairway and is, in essence, a waterslide with a micro-coating of green moss—truly Augusta-like.
