With water in play on 13 holes and tight landing areas, accuracy, not distance, is key here: a long iron is ample on nine of the 12 par fours. Greens are well-kept, and although they’re not overly shaped, there is a subtle break to almost every putt on the course. Better players can capitalize on the layout by shaping a few shots and taking some risks: four par fours are driveable; the two par fives are reachable in two (on 13, drive over the trees to the left). There’s a nice collection of par threes, four of which feature water. The best holes are one and 14—choose your club carefully.
