One of the few great value courses left in southern Ontario, Springwater offers opening holes that are relatively flat and forgiving, but the course narrows and becomes more hilly and interesting by the time you reach the seventh. A 375-yard par four, it starts with a blind tee shot and goes on to a tough second into a severely sloping right-to-left green, surrounded by forest on three sides and a creek in front. Sixteen is very tough from the tips, requiring a fade around a tree about 100 yards out, then an accurate iron shot uphill to a green surrounded by deep woods. The 18th is a 540-yard par five with a wraparound pond that will make you think twice about going for the green in two.

18 holes, 6,262 yards, par 72
