In the high-end Muskoka market, this reasonably priced course is a gem. Designed by Robbie Robinson, it’s not only scenic—marked by towering pines, rolling fairways and granite slabs—but also well maintained. In 2005, the club spent almost a million dollars on a facelift; upgrades included a new irrigation system, and the renovation of the fifth green and sixth and 10th holes. In addition, more than three dozen new tee blocks were built; the granite (a typical Muskoka feature) was exposed on the par four sixth, making this one of the prettiest holes on the course. A word of warning: take a cart. There are plenty of steep, uphill climbs, especially between the 10th and 11th.
