Huntsville Downs is a classic Muskoka beauty. The first three holes offer a gentle ride, but the par five fourth dips and sways with the abandon of a roller coaster. Water is the prime hazard on six to nine; the holes are short (except the 415-yard seventh) and require low iron control. On the back, the ups and downs continue. The right-curving, par four 13th (349 yards) drops into a small valley, where your ball will likely feed into a pond or one of two mid-size fairway traps. The 17th, a 473-yard par five, will try to add a few clicks to the counter: a straight 230-yard drive will find a landing before the fairway stops at a granite wall.
