Cobble Beach Golf Linksstarstarstarstarstar

Architect Doug Carrick has carved out another gem with this bayside masterpiece that opened in 2007. Though Carrick was given prime land to start with, it’s what he did to maximize this 574-acre property—sculpting a challenging links course where golfers get a breathtaking view of Georgian Bay on every hole—that stands out. With rugged rough and nasty fescue to deal with if your ball strays too far from the fairways, Cobble Beach requires accuracy and strategic club selection off each tee. All greens are fast and some slope toward the bay, with pot bunkers adding to the difficulty. Service is impeccable: from the unlimited use of practice facilities to the staff members who wash your clubs as you finish your round, you are treated like a VIP. Each cart comes equipped with a GPS that chirps like a bird when you get a birdie. Enjoy a gourmet lunch on the patio after your round and watch golfers approach the ninth and 18th holes, while getting an unobstructed view of the beautiful bay.
