Owned and operated by the Stevens family since 1939, this course is a Minden institution. Locals and nearby cottagers are loyal to Beaverbrook’s easygoing atmosphere and unpretentious surroundings. Positioned between Beaver Creek and the Gull River, the layout incorporates water on four holes. An errant drive on the 397-yard, par four fifth could land in either a small pond beyond the tee box or in the river, which hems in the fairway on the right. The straightforward design is perfect if you’re in search of a quick golfing fix.

nine holes, 3,024 yards, par 35
