The kayak is the vehicle of choice for Wil Tranter, as he guides participants around Stony Lake, near Lakefield. Novices receive a mini-tutorial in the morning before setting out to explore some of the more than 1,100 islands that dot the lake. The Getaway package may include dinner at the Old Bridge Inn or Irwin Inn, with accommodation at Shining Waters Bed & Breakfast. The Inn to Inn Kayaking package involves paddling between inns for four days and nights.
